"Ruthie" our Rolls Royce Silver Shadow wedding car was
first registered in March 1980 and is one of the last models off the
production line, as the model was replaced by the Silver Spirit later that
year.
The Silver Shadow was revealed to the public at the 1965 London Earls Court Motor show. This styling remained mostly unchanged throughout the vehicles production. Whilst Ruthie was hand-built in 1980, the feel and look is of a bygone age.
Only 7,000 Silver Shadows were
made and over 70% of these were exported across the globe. The remainder
stayed here in the United Kingdom and since then, the number of vehicles in
good condition are believed to total less than 500. Therefore this is a
truly rare and classic wedding car.
"Ruthie" is chestnut in colour which
allows the Bridal dress dress to stand out in your photos. After taking a great deal of time and care to choose the right dress, you do not want to fade into the background, which can happen with a traditional white car.
The doors have a burr walnut trim with
chrome handles, and the interior has sumptuous cream leather seats.
There is ample legroom in the
rear to accommodate the tallest of couples and the fullest of dresses, with footrests for additional comfort.
The
interior is fully air conditioned to allow the happy couple to remain cool
on the hottest of summer days.
